It's really quite sad to see my childhood memories fade away, they could have at least kept the old theme tune.

PG

"We'll announce more on this later in the week, but let's just say this band can fill out 10,000 capacity venues. Probably several times over! We can't believe they're coming in!"

Who could that be? Hmmmm

Looking forward to Metronomy on friday..

Also, message to Pure Groove, where is the video from Slow Club? I'm looking forward to cringing at that...

Bands

It seems like every band which has members under 17 is obsessed with getting famous and being loved by everyone around them. To the many bands, who will remain nameless, that message the myspace accounts of all the under 18s promoters every other day, please get something original.

Subject: PLEASE READ
Hi [Insert Promoter Name]. We are [Insert typically shite indie name] and we've been together for 6 months. We've played various venues like... anyway, we're looking for more gigs. Do you think that we could play your next show? We can bring a big crowd with us and we think we're perfect for it, because we're good. We've also just uploaded some new tracks that we'd love if you listened too. All the best...

Argfdhf I can't tell you how annoying it is! Firstly, did it not occur to you that loads of bands message promoters and that perhaps that wasn't the way that was going to get you attention. Secondly, okay maybe i listen to your music, why should I just put a random band on my line-up? Thirdly, about 5 years ago bands didn't have myspace accounts and they got along fine without them, maybe you should think about actually doing something that doesn't involve myspace. Finally, why are you so obbssesed with becoming famous, even though you won't see it like that, are you just in a band for that or have you actually thought about the music?
